I am blessed with an enormous audience for my work as an actor, notably getting people to imagine the future in science fiction. As can happen, life imitates art, and I am invited to meet with luminaries across technology, business, government, media, and science communities. I am also fortunate to have access to top advisors in the area of venture investment.

But what drives me above all, is to make a lasting and meaningful positive impact on humanity, and on the planet. I am a technophile and an optimist, who is deeply concerned about restoring the mess we are leaving behind.

For this purpose, I formed FootPrint Coalition Ventures, a group of investors and storytellers committed to scaling innovations that will restore our planet. We make investments in fast growing sustainable companies alongside leading investors and entrepreneurs. And we tell stories to help inform and mobilize a global audience.

We are looking at areas such as food & agriculture, new materials, robotics, artificial intelligence, data and software, and financial technologies, all oriented around innovation and sustainability.

Leading investors and entrepreneurs are inviting us to participate in their cap tables, seeking public awareness and support for their ventures. FootPrint Coalition is picking the best among them, and doing our part to help them succeed.

Here’s how it works:

You demonstrate that you are an accredited investor
We accept new commitments every quarter
We invest alongside you as an LP for at least 10% of the fund or $1mm annually, whichever is lower
We charge typical venture fund economics (a 2% management fee and 20% carried interest)
Because we raise money each quarter, we can raise capital incrementally, one investor at a time, and immediately begin putting your capital to work.
Our investment criteria are:

World-class entrepreneurial talent
Business poised for scale and high growth
Co-Investment alongside top-tier institutional investment partner
Stage: Series B to pre-IPO
Min. Investment $250,000.
Measurable sustainability impact
We believe that we can do well while doing good. We believe that the companies we invest in will become great successes, delivering outsized returns to our investors, and helping to repair our planet.
